How to Hard Reset Samsung Galaxy Android Phone - Procedures

Hard Reset Samsung Galaxy S

here is a tip on how to hard reset Samsung Galaxy S and other model series. As part of my call, I have featured different Samsung cell phone repair guides.

Now, Tweaking your android phone's functionality is just a few procedures away using some basic functionality.

Maximize utilizing your user controls and at times a few numbers and letters in the form of resetting codes, you can now put back the default setting of your Samsung Galaxy android phone. That is of course if you didn't like what special features your Samsung Galaxy had and you want to have it back on it original factory settings. Reasons could be whether for repair purposes or for re-tweaking it again while putting it back to its prime condition and optimum performance. Below are a few basic guides on how to do it.

Let me guide you how to hard reset Samsung Galaxy S (some model series applicable too) with step by step instructions but let me remind you that doing so will kill and erase all data on your phone so if you are not ready to loose all or any of it, you should make a back up first. The second major step is to make sure that if you have any passwords that you know or remember it. Have it beside you before you start the resetting process. This is always the first 2 most important steps in resetting all cell phones be it an android or windows os mobile or be it if you are a technician or just the cell phone geek.

Try These Factory Settings Reset Procedures:

  1. On your home screen, press Menu
  2. Press Settings, then Privacy afterwards
  3. Press Factory data reset
  4. Press Reset phone
  5. By this time you will be asked of your password - enter it then tap Yes to confirm
  6. If these procedures worked for you, then fine but if not, there's still quite a few more trial and error procedures you can do. Read them below

If your phone got frozen (here are your choices):

  1. Turn the power off. Pull the battery out and reinsert it. This will reset your phone's system.
  2. Hold the Volume Down button (don't depress yet for the next step)
  3. Press and release the Power button
  4. A menu should be on your screen that will take you to either a Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock.
  5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button to transfer to the right choice of menu.
  6. Press and release the Power button
  7. Confirm your decision and be sure if this is what you really want (clear storage and all files) Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO

Selecting YES will absolutely and 100% take out and erase all data including third-party applications for which I have warned you to make a back up of if you are not ready to loose any. As I've told you, all else will be deleted in your memory card from the application of the procedure of hard reset Samsung Galaxy S. Once the wipeout of all files is complete (sadly, this will also include all your music files), the phone will reboot to its factory settings or default fresh state.

Please note that doing these procedures will usually require a professional cell phone technician's knowledge so if you do not know how to do it or if you are not 100% sure you can do it - DON'T!!!

Leave it to the professionals instead and have your cell phone for a repair at the nearest cell phone shop for the hard reset Samsung Galaxy full repair procedure.
